Porth Beach 50th Anniversary Photo Competition

Terms and Conditions

1. The Promoter

The promoter is Porth Beach Holiday Park, Newquay, Cornwall, TR7 3NH.

2. Eligibility

2.1. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over, except employees of Porth Beach Holiday Park, their immediate families, or anyone directly connected with the administration or judging of the competition.

2.2. There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary.

2.3. By entering the competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3. Competition Period

3.1. The competition opens on Monday 21 September 2026.

3.2. Entries close at 11:59pm BST on Sunday 27 September 2026.

3.3. Entries submitted after the closing time will not be considered.

4. How to Enter

4.1. To enter, participants must post a photograph from a holiday or visit to Porth Beach Holiday Park in the comments section of the official competition post on the Porth Beach Holiday Park Facebook page.

4.2. Entrants are encouraged to include a few words about the memory or story behind their photograph.

4.3. Photographs can be from any point in Porth Beach Holiday Park’s history, including the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, more recent years, and the 2026 summer season.

4.4. Entries submitted by email, Instagram, private message or through any other channel will not qualify unless otherwise stated by Porth Beach Holiday Park.

4.5. Entrants may submit more than one photograph, provided each entry features a different image.

5. Photographs, Copyright and Permissions

5.1. By submitting a photograph, the entrant confirms that they own the image or have permission from the copyright owner to submit it.

5.2. Entrants are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate permission to share photographs featuring other identifiable individuals.

5.3. By entering, entrants grant Porth Beach Holiday Park permission to reproduce, share and display the submitted photograph for purposes relating to the 50th anniversary celebrations and associated promotional activity, including on its website, social media channels, email marketing and printed materials.

5.4. Copyright in the original photograph remains with the copyright owner.

5.5. Porth Beach Holiday Park reserves the right to remove or disqualify any entry it considers inappropriate, offensive, unlawful or in breach of third-party rights.

6. Judging and Winner Selection

6.1. Following the closing date, eligible entries will be reviewed by the Porth Beach Holiday Park team.

6.2. The winning entry will be selected based on factors including the photograph, the memory or story behind it, its connection with Porth Beach and its contribution to the celebration of the park’s 50-year history.

6.3. The decision of Porth Beach Holiday Park will be final.

6.4. The winner will be contacted through Facebook following the closing date.

6.5. If the winner does not respond within 14 days of being contacted, Porth Beach Holiday Park reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

7. The Prize

7.1. The winner will receive either:

• a 3-night weekend stay, Friday to Monday, or
• a 4-night midweek stay, Monday to Friday

for up to six guests in a designated Luxury Caravan at Porth Beach Holiday Park.

7.2. The prize must be taken during the 2027 holiday season.

7.3. The prize excludes UK Bank Holidays, July and August, and school half-term periods.

7.4. All dates are subject to availability.

7.5. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or alternative services.

7.6. Travel, meals, insurance and any other personal expenses are not included.

8. Data Protection and Privacy

8.1. Personal information supplied in connection with the competition will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

8.2. Entrants should be aware that photographs and comments posted in response to the Facebook competition post will be publicly visible in accordance with Facebook’s own privacy settings and policies.

8.3. The winner’s name may be published by Porth Beach Holiday Park when announcing the result.

9. Facebook Disclaimer

9.1. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook or Meta.

9.2. By entering, participants acknowledge that they are providing their information to Porth Beach Holiday Park and not to Facebook.

9.3. Facebook and Meta accept no responsibility or liability in connection with the promotion.

10. General

10.1. Porth Beach Holiday Park reserves the right to cancel, suspend or amend the competition where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.

10.2. Porth Beach Holiday Park reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions.

10.3. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
